In their excellent (and hefty) resource guide, The Baby Book, attachment parenting specialists William Sears and Martha Sears have provided new parents with their approach to every aspect of baby care basics, from newborns to toddlers.

The Birth Book: Everything You Need to Know to Have a Safe and Satisfying Birth
In this helpful resource guide, the Searses cover the gamut of possibilities, and teach readers what they need to know to take control of their own birthings.

Birthing from Within
Read the inspiring book that is revolutionizing childbirth preparation! Once you open this book, you will be drawn in by its exquisite design, intriguing illustrations and artwork, poignant birth stories, and captivating titles.

Breastfeeding Made Simple: Seven Natural Laws for Nursing Mothers
Breastfeeding Made Simple teaches mothers and mothers-to-be seven natural laws for successful breastfeeding. This information is distilled from various fields and up-to-date research and is presented in a practical, straightforward way.

Ina May's Guide to Breastfeeding
Everything you need to know to make breastfeeding a joyful, natural, and richly fulfilling experience for both you and your baby.

Ina May's Guide to Childbirth
Discover the proven wisdom that has guided thousands of women through childbirth with more confidence, less pain, and little or no medical intervention.

The Nursing Mother's Companion
With more than 500,000 copies sold in earlier editions, The Nursing Mother's Companion is the most widely recommended resource for breastfeeding women.

Pregnancy, Childbirth and the Newborn
Pregnancy, Childbirth, and the Newborn: The Complete Guide is already one of the bestselling pregnancy books on the market, with more than one million copies in print! Now newly revised and redesigned, this comprehensive, authoritative “bible” provides expectant couples with abundant, valuable information about pregnancy, labor, birth, the postpartum period, and newborn care.

Raising a Happy, Unspoiled Child
According to White (The First Three Years of Life), director of the Center for Parent Education in Newton, Mass., disciplinary problems during the "terrible twos" are not inevitable. After spending nine years observing young children in their homes, he concludes that many difficulties-testing parental authority, refusal to share toys with playmates, etc.-can virtually be eliminated if parents are not overly permissive with children of more than five months old.

Spiritual Midwifery
The classic book on home birth is now in its fourth edition. Includes updated information on the safety of natural childbirth, new birthing stories, and the most recent statistics on births managed by The Farm Midwives. Mothers-to-be are instructed on how to take care of themselves while pregnant and how to prepare for being a mother and taking care of a new baby.

Taking Charge of Your Fertility
This comprehensive book explains in lucid, assured terms how to practice the fertility awareness method (FAM), a natural, scientifically proven but little-known form of birth control (which is not to be confused with the woefully ineffective "rhythm" method). Author Toni Weschler has been teaching fertility awareness for almost 20 years, and it's only just now gaining in popularity.

Your Baby and Child
Penelope Leach's Your Baby & Child has been a beloved favorite for years. With this new, revised edition, Leach has updated her information and approach to reflect new findings in the field of child development, and to respond to the changing needs of today's families. Leach has utter respect for children and their parents; she explains development, child care, and parenting concerns clearly and without condescension.
